I enjoyed your article. I just did the ride today. I think you’re mistaken about the elevation of Cisco Grove. I believe it’s closer to 5600 feet.

Once saw a big ol’ bear just sittin’ in the middle of Hwy 40 in the middle of this ride. When he noticed us stopped he stood up tall and sniffed, then ambled into the forest. “Share the road!”
